BRIGHTLY BURNING | HMH TEEN
Can love flourish when surrounded by deception and intrigue?
A lush and enthralling reimagining of the classic Jane Eyre, set amongst the stars.
Stella Ainsley leaves poverty behind when she quits her engineering job aboard the Stalwart to become a governess on a private ship. On the Rochester, there’s no ration on water, more books than one person could devour in a lifetime, and an AI who seems more friend than robot.
But no one warned Stella that the ship seems to be haunted, nor that it may be involved in a conspiracy that could topple the entire interstellar fleet. Surrounded by mysteries, Stella forges a warm connection with the brooding but kind, 19-year-old Captain Hugo. But as they grow closer, his unpredictable behavior causes suspicions to mount. Without knowing who to trust, Stella must decide whether to follow her head or her heart.
She will become one of the world’s greatest heroes: WONDER WOMAN. But first she is Diana, Princess of the Amazons. And her fight is just beginning. . . .
Diana longs to prove herself to her legendary warrior sisters. But when the opportunity finally comes, she throws away her chance at glory and breaks Amazon law—risking exile—to save a mere mortal. Even worse, Alia Keralis is no ordinary girl and with this single brave act, Diana may have doomed the world.
Alia just wanted to escape her overprotective brother with a semester at sea. She doesn’t know she is being hunted. When a bomb detonates aboard her ship, Alia is rescued by a mysterious girl of extraordinary strength and forced to confront a horrible truth: Alia is a Warbringer—a direct descendant of the infamous Helen of Troy, fated to bring about an age of bloodshed and misery.
Together, Diana and Alia will face an army of enemies—mortal and divine—determined to either destroy or possess the Warbringer. If they have any hope of saving both their worlds, they will have to stand side by side against the tide of war.

Awakening (The Seven Saga Book 1) by the impressively skilled Lionheart seeped through my arctic fortress and extracted the icy fragments I submerged over the unexpected loss of my mom. Lionheart’s words melted shards of my being and unleashed a volcano of emotions spewing confusion, guilt, heartache, rage, remorse, and tenderness. I was feeling his anguish, while tapping into mine. I was pulled in by his magnificent prose but had to pace myself. I was venturing down a terrain I veered off before to take alternate routes but was intensely aware of the ache in my soul. I was sliced just enough by Lionheart’s own sword of bravery to let the healing nutrients in and to finally begin to flood the venom out to accept and appreciate the fun memories. Getting to know slivers of his mom with his profound prose has me wishing my mom and Frances could have crossed paths on earth. However, knowing their stars have embraced in Heaven has gifted me with comfort, delight and harmony. Thank you, Kyle Lionheart, for unearthing this level of my becoming.
