Writing Fuel: Mermaid Spirulina Smoothie Bowl


Blend one frozen banana, one apple, 1/2 pear, one kiwi fruit, three tbsp soy yoghurt, juice of 1/2 lemon, and three spirulina tablets. Top with fresh fruit and berries.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1 smoothie

1 cup almond milk (or plant-based milk of choice)
¼ cup Nature’s Path Old Fashioned Organic Oats
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
1½ tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Small pinch of nutmeg and cayenne pepper

In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend for at least 1 minute, until thick and smooth. If you own a high-speed blender with a soup setting, use that to warm the mixture while it blends.

For a smoothie to-go, pour into a mason jar.
For a smoothie breakfast bowl, pour into a bowl and top with Nature’s Path Chia Plus Coconut Chia Granola.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate Smoothie Bowl


Prep Time: 5 minutes

1 banana – peeled
½ cup / 60g ground almonds
1 scoop mint chocolate chip protein powder
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
3 tablespoons chia seeds
250ml hot water
Optional toppings: chia seeds, slithered almonds, goji berries

Add everything into a blender
Blend for 30 seconds
Pour into bowls
Sprinkle with toppings such as chia seeds, slithered almonds and goji berries.

 In spring and summer, just use cold water!

Vegan and gluten free!
